Presentation
For its grand opening, BIAC 2019 has invited the Basinga company to make an exceptional tightrope crossing. Tatiana-Mosio Bongonga is a high-wire virtuoso and this aerial adventure and dance will leave spectators breathless. Without a safety harness and at the mercy of the winds, she will cross the spaces of the La Friche la Belle de Mai arts complex. This tightrope performance will be accompanied by live musicians and will feature local residents who will act as counterweights. This timeless, gravity-defying performance will awe and inspire the assembled crowds.
With Tatiana-Mosio Bongonga, Jérémy Manche or Djeyla Roz, Pascale Valenta, Adrien Amey or Camille Secheppet ; the singers of Gospel en Cité Choir (directed by Marylène Olivier) and the volunteers from Archaos amateur's workshop.
Choreography Anna Rodriguez
Costumes Solenne Capmas
Technical support Jan Naets, Gael Honegger, Simon Pourque, Maxime Leneyle
Production Marie Lacoux, Manuel Rascalou, Camille Foucher, Alice Lamy
Basinga is a performance group dedicated to the art of the high-wire. Through research, training programs, and participatory tightrope performances, Basinga is seeking to bolster, share, and promote this art that, more than any other, crystalizes the reality that our grand human experience is balanced upon our fragility and our ability to navigate uncertain terrains. That which connects us, makes us strong.
