Presentation

Under the artistic direction of Samuel Tétrault, Les 7 Doigts de la Main (The 7 Fingers of the Hand) join forces with three internationally renowned choreographers to explore the language of the body in a three-part performance.
Anne & Samuel, a duo directed by Marie Chouinard, explores gravity and its effects on the body. In Variation 9.81, directed by Victor Quijada, five virtuoso tightrope walkers seek absolute control over gravity and the relationship between immobility and movement. Nocturnes, choreographed by Marcus Moray, sees its eight participating artists liberated from physical constraints, subtly mixing dance and circus in a dreamy, wacky world.

Upon Original Invitation From: Daniel Soulières                               In Coproduction With: Sandler's Wells (London), Thomas Lightburn (Vancouver), TOHU (Montreal), Albourne (Norwalk), Danse-Cité (Montreal), Les Nuits de Fourvière (Lyon) and Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg.

"Totally crazy and absolutely beautiful. Dream meets reality."            – Radio-Canada

"Originality, homogeneity, poetry, magic." – La Presse (Canada)

Seven artistic directors, seven visions for a unique and multifaceted collective.

In 2002, seven circus artists become Les 7 Doigts (The 7 Fingers). Over the following 15 years, the collective has taken shape in their image and has allowed them to create works as diverse as their authors are different. Every passing year sees the birth of new stimulating projects: original creations, artistic collaborations, project direction, custom-made creations, participation in Olympic ceremonies, television productions, immersive experiences, and much more.

Each of these projects is imprinted with the unmistakable signature of Les 7 Doigts. Ambassadors of diversity, they open us to new horizons and mix genres, all in service of storytelling. Passionate about our time, they create works that tell its story and travel the world, with over five hundred performances each year. 2017 will see Les 7 Doigts inaugurate their center for creation and production in the heart of Montreal, bringing their dreams and activities together under the same roof.
