To launch this new Biennale Internationale des Arts du Cirque, which opens at the same time as the Année Capitale Européenne du Sport 2017, as the spirit of the Rio Olympics still reverberates in our memories, we needed a master presenter, a pro, a "figure", as they would say in Marseille. That man will be Félix Tampon! A disorganized and hilarious clown played by Alain Reynaud – Director of La Cascade, Pôle National des Arts du Cirque en Ardèche and artist of the Nouveau Nez company – he will ensure the perilous mission of hosting, as a sports presenter, the Biennale's opening weekend at La Friche la Belle de Mai. Between installations, exhibitions, workshops and circus shows, the public will wander from corner to corner in the Friche la Belle de Mai, accompanied by this character that is admittedly sometimes overwhelmed by events, but who never loses the sense of nonsense.
