Presentation

Fnico Feldmann and Itamar Glucksmann are used to working as a duo to create work that is an expression of their humanity. But this latest performance was conceived as a trio. They share their sensitive artistic vision and benevolent approach with a beech tree, which is their peer, another representative of the living. By launching themselves at this emissary of nature in thousand-and-one different ways, the acrobats fluidly produce something that is far more than a show: a metaphor for a humanity that is a mere shred of straw in the flow of the elements.

"The fluidity of the movement enchants the spectator and transcends the acrobatic performance. The density of the rhythm of the choreography and the weight of the wood used provide us with a timeless, breathless, beautiful, and touching moment.”

The Compagnie Iéto was started by Fnico Feldmann and Jonathan Guichard, who created the show Serre tes coudes in 2006. In 2008, Iéto was awarded the Jeunes Talents Cirque prize. The company toured for five years with 300 performances in nearly 30 countries. In 2016, L'instinct du déséquilibre debuted and this show toured for two years. In October 2019, Pour Hêtre was created and two years later, in 2021, a shorter, lighter version of the show, Hêtre vivant, was produced.
