Quarantaines [Forties] is a pretext to talk about isolation, loneliness, and the great existential questions that cross our minds when we pass our fortieth birthday. Alone on stage, Christine seems to be the last representative of humanity on this earth. She lives, moves, and exists but can no longer go out and face the hostility of the world. Her solitude enables her to bring to life characters that she then confides in. With her outspokenness and the disconcerting ease with which she puts her foot in her mouth, Christiane destabilizes us and questions our contradictions, our freedoms, our lives, and our desires.

Biography

Des Clous was born from the desire of Rémi Luchez (artistic director) and Mathilde Menand (production manager) to create a structure focused on sensitive and unique circus projects. In 2014, Véronique Tuaillon became an associate artist at Des Clous with the intention of fostering the circus arts as an art of endeavor.
