Presentation

The Ordinary Circus Girl is a sensory experience that combines virtual reality with a contemporary circus performance. The show is a physical experience where the real and the unreal blend together and play with the boundaries between reality and fiction and the physical and virtual world.

Corinne Linder's career as an artist was ended by a fall. The Ordinary Circus Girl is based on this experience and evokes the age-old question of risk and falling that affects all those whose bodies are their artistic tools.

The audience is invited into the middle of the action and moves through the surrealist and poetic universe of circus artists. They follow the narrator Anna, an aerial artist, and are immersed in a fascinating experience, from the backstage of the show to the participation in the final aerial routine.

Come and live a participative physical experience that awakens your body and your senses.

This experience is not recommended for people with epilepsy or reduced mobility.

"Corinne Linder presents a new way of putting the audience at the center of the artistic relationship between the performance and the artist and plunges us into a virtual realm. In small groups wearing virtual reality helmets, the audience follows the story of Anna, an aerial acrobat. Inspired by her own life and how she had to overcome a six-meter fall, the story/experience focuses on the question of risk, fear, body, and the artistic act."
