TopDown questions the space we take for ourselves and the space we leave for others, the relationship between domination and submission that is at play in the social sphere, whether in the workplace or everyday life. Through a subtle dance of shadows orchestrated by Maïwenn Cozic, the performers reverse roles and demonstrate that power and strength are not always found where the light is strongest. With reserve and simplicity, they thwart any certainty about pre-established roles or assignments. Through their technical mastery, they take an ironic approach to iconic games that makes it impossible to know who is manipulating whom and they poke fun at power relationships without ever telling us what to think or do about them.
