Presentation

A Franco-Guinean testimonial to environmental and migration issues brought to life through acrobatic lifts and dances, this performance is both heroic and sensitive. Yé! evokes people's capacity to persist, to start again, to reinvent. What if the recesses of a ruined world became the setting for a rebirth? Maybe a different ending to the world is possible and this is what these bodies in motion express.

Biography

The Circus Baobab is a collective of circus artists from Guinea and the country's diaspora. A pioneer of the West African circus, the company has been performing on the world's stages for 25 years. Using a mix of dance and theatre, today, the acrobats of Circus Baobab are embracing the new forms of contemporary circus. In addition to their international tours, the company works to foster a social, solidarity-based, and civic-minded circus and offers support programmes for young people in Guinea and elsewhere.
