Presentation

Yin Zero is a short version of Yin that has been written for street performances and unconventional spaces

Two men enter the stage. Their skirts come to life, the physical performance intensifies, they are in a state of extreme perception, they have achieved a subtle balance. They will try to make the silence resound, to make the invisible visible, and to share eternity. All in less than 30 minutes!

With their fluid and virtuoso juggling, these two artists perform a modern version of a trance. This choreographed hypnosis is based on the harmony of their techniques and the contrast of their bodies. By mixing tai chi, contact juggling, and dervish dancing, the artists manage to bring you into their universe, into a state of consciousness that is close to a trance and is on the frontier between control and letting go.

Monad is a juggling and dance company created in 2018 by Van-Kim Tran and Cyrille Humen.

Van-Kim trained for the stage at the Lomme circus school and in dance with Carolyn Carlson, Zyia Azazi, and Jean-Daniel Fricker. He is co-author of the show Dystonie by the Defracto company.

After developing a very physical juggling technique, Cyrille now takes part in a new juggling training system called Faaac J. He also wrote the solo performance Dive.

The two artists both practice tai chi, which is very prominent in the company's work through the union of body, breath, and object.

In 2019, they received the Beaumarchais-SACD writing grant to develop their show Yin.
