The Swiss artist Julian Vogel invites us to discover a series of small works, installations, and videos based on porcelain diabolos. By testing the sphere of stability and relying on the principles of construction and destruction, Julian Vogel transposes the vulnerability of human bodies and relationships into artistic and ephemeral experiences.

"Julian Vogel plays with balance, movement, fragility, art, and destruction."

After studying psychology and art history, Julian Vogel specialized in diabolo practice at the Academy of Circus and Performance Art in Tilburg, the Netherlands, and graduated in 2019. He has since been working on the China Series, a set of performances and installations revolving around the diabolo. He crafts these tools himself out of ceramic.
