Emma Verbeke and Corentin Diana, two young artists from the CNAC national circus arts center, perform a physical duet in a constantly evolving space. They search for the verticals that will hold them upright and try to determine their relationship to a shifting ground, an unstable earth.
Their playground is a suspended wooden and metal object that is designed like a system of Russian dolls. It rises, splits, rolls, and swings, and with her aerial straps, Emma tends to escape into the air, to become inebriated with spirals and suspensions. These altering landscapes are both visual metaphors and the context of their relationship. It is a piece of land, a horizon, a ceiling, their gallery...

Circus workshop
La Garance - Cavaillon
This workshop is an introduction to aerial work on a moving platform and is led by Emma Verbeke and Corentin Diana.
Sunday 23 January from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 4pm
11 years old and up, for teenagers and adults who have already engaged in sports or circus activities

Created in Lyon in 2001, the Compagnie Les Mains Les Pieds et La Tête Aussi is dedicated to creating, developing, and promoting the contemporary circus arts.
Alternating between research, directing, performance, and artistic oversight, Mathurin Bolze never stops questioning the art of movement and the art of the stage, all with the belief that artistic and human affinities are the driving force behind the creative pursuit.
Whether they are original creations, artistic collaborations, or projects that have blossomed from amicable encounters, the company’s performances are regularly presented in France and internationally. Bolze is regularly entrusted with overseeing events or given a carte blanche because as an artist, performer, and designer, he encompasses a vast network of artists and engages with a myriad of new works.
