Marseille,
On an overturned blue sky, which also serves as the circus ring, only the bodies and the objects are visible in their careful relationship to the space and to Roland Auzet's score. Directed and choreographed by Jérôme Thomas and Martin Palisse, this contemporary juggling ballet unites seven jugglers and a lyrical chanteuse. Here we find the walking sticks, balls, hoops, and feathers that have accompanied Jérôme Thomas's cubic juggling practice over the past 35 years. Through solos and group numbers, bodies, voices, objects, and music (for orchestra and electronics) align and draw together a passionate imaginary cosmogony.

“One of the greatest jugglers in the world, Jérôme Thomas revolutionized the genre. Poetic, musical and twisted, his creations continue to bewitch.” – L’Express
ARMO (which stands for Atelier de Recherches en Manipulation d’Objets) / Compagnie Jérôme Thomas was created in Bourgogne in 1992. Beginning with a residency at the LARC in Le Creusot, it has been based in Dijon since 2005. Creation and transmission have been the company's main themes from its inception. More than a dozen shows have been created including Quipos, Hic Hoc, Amani Ya Bwana, Le Banquet, "4" Qu’on en Finisse une Bonne Fois Pour Toutes Avec…, IxBE, Cirque Lili (under the wooden big top and the company's red canvas), Milkday, Rain/bow, Arc Après la Pluie, Libellule et Papillons!!, Sortilèges, Ici. (with Markus Schmid), and FoResT (under big top). These creations have had a strong influence on the history of circus and tour throughout France as well as abroad.
With these shows, Jérôme Thomas has developed close links with several composers and musicians: Laurence Ollivier, Xavier Garcia, Pascal Lloret, l’Attirail, Guy Klucevsek, Jean-François Baëz, with whom he also performs in the duo “Jérôme Thomas invites Jean-François Baëz”, Max Nagl, Pierre Bastien, and Roland Auzet, with whom Jérôme Thomas created Deux Hommes Jonglaient Dans Leur Tête in 2008. Many of these creations draw on his singular juggling practice, which he calls "cubic".
