Friche la Belle de Mai
Marseille,
This show tells the story of the day-to-day life of a teenage girl, Tessa, who is overwhelmed by the feminine stereotypes and all that they entail: weakness and dependence. She scrutinizes the world and the crushing baggage of being born a girl. The weights placed upon men seem more manageable to her. She decides to hide in an XXL tracksuit to escape "the sex zone, the flirting and all the crap that goes with it." Tessa takes the audience to the roots of this rejection of gender stereotypes while also diving into the protagonist's complex relationship with her mother.
